She gained instant media fame. Her most memorable professional experience has been her association with the company that makes cosmetics Estee Lauder. Hurley was recruited by Estee Laundry as their first model at age 28. In 1995 she has been used as a face for products from the company, like Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. Her best known cinematic work was when she played Vanessa Kensington in Mike Myers popular spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999).
